Escaping Stress!

My Final Assignment - Summative

So, for my final summative we have to create some sort of art on a computer which relates to this whole blog. What I decided to do was to create a site plan of a town which consists of all the activities I’ve mentioned in the past on this blog site.

I’m sorry if the image is too small, it is a mini version of it because the image it too big to upload on here so bare with me. This town is called “The Stress-Free Town”, I know it sounds too simple but when you want to relax, you want everything to be simple, right? Well anyways, this town consists of a huge park with mountains, a beach which turns into a lake, a grassy area by the forest, a theatre, a museum, an entertainment building, and most of all, the center of the town is built up of restaurants and stores!

Let’s start off with the mountains, it is the top left hand side of the page. The mountains is along the forest which is best for hiking. The forest part of the picture is actually a national park where hikers can visit. Along the forest are cottages, these people living in the cottages can see a beautiful view of the nature by looking at the national park and on the other side, the lake. There are two mini parking lots available for people who want to drive up and live in a cottage or for hiking. I didn’t include sidewalks in this area because it is made for privacy for the cottages and it is also a hill so people should only be driving up ther or hiking. Above the area, there is a red dotted line, it is to symbolize the train track. I decided to include a train going around the mountains and above the left side of town to see the amazing landscapes. You may wonder how the train track is staying above the lake, it is actually on a bridge (the brown part under it). There are two trains on these tracks and they go opposite directions so many people can travel on them. The train station is near the bottom left side of the page, it is by a huge parking lot so people can park their cars there and jump onto a train. Another parking lot is by the shore. 

Along the cottages is the lake, as I’ve mentioned earlier. This lake is best for cruising and makes a beautiful beach along the shore. Around all the water area is surrounded by huge rocks so the water doesn’t go onto the road. Wooden docks are all around lake so people can drive into the lake or access their cruise that is parked along the side of the rocks by their cottages. There is a main dock by the road as well.

Next, is the grassy area by the forest in the middle to bottom of the left side of the page. I placed a zoo and an aquarium there because the forest gives some animals a home. Other than that, it gives the zoo and the aquarium a natural feeling because these animals are from the nature.

Now, let’s see the right side of the page. The theatre is open for all audiences who are there to watch a play or a music concert. The museum consists of many art work and collections for everyone to visit. The entertainment building at the bottom of the page is a four storey building with a different purpose on each floor. The first floor is for people who want to do dancing lessons, it is on the lowest floor because it will be the loudest floor since there is music playing and people dancing. On the second floor is the yoga lessons unit, it less less loud because they play soft music but people do still move around. On the third floor is the massaging room. Although this floor only plays soft music, the massager still moves around to massage their customers. The highest floor is the spa shop, all customers are there to relax and listen to really soft music. Not much people should be moving around in this building because most people stay in one spot and enjoy the spa treatment.

Last but not least, is the central town of restaurants on one side and stores on the other. The restaurants are all famous restaurants of all types which leaves all the visitors a variety of choices to choose from. Everyone knows people love shopping so between all the stores and shops, I’ve placed larger sidewalks so everyone can get around. There is a huge flea market for people who love to bargain. Other than that, there are small shops, brand stores, and outlets in the area for all customers.

What’s most important to us besides letting our body relax? Keeping it safe nad healthy. I placed grass all around the town and I plan to place trees on every 5 meters of grass but I didn’t include the trees in the picture since you can’t really see it anyways. Aside from that, I extended the forest so we can get fresh air from the forest that is covering half of the town. I placed sidewalks and roads all over town too so cars can drive on their own road while people can walk on sidewalks. Even though all the lanes on the street are wide, there are for emergency, therefore, no one is allowed to park along the road or else they will receive tickets because the whole area is a one lane street for each direction. As I have mentioned earlier, these cars can park in the closest parking lot from where they want to visit. At every intersection will have street lights to protect everyone. One last thing, in front of all the buildings and attractions, there is a huge white block, those are suppose to be fancy stairs for you to enter the places.
